Independent review by the Centre for Public Scrutiny on how the Council makes decisions
Meeting on Thursday 15th February at 18:00, in The Small Hall, Kensington Town Hall, Hornton Street, W8 7NX. Open to all members of the Chelsea Society and Chelsea Residents’ Associations. This will be a joint meeting with The Kensington Society and the Kensington Residents’ Associations.
The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea has commissioned an independent review to look at how the Council’s decisions are made, how open and transparent they are and how residents are involved in Council decisions. This forms part of its response to the Grenfell fire.
The review is being carried out by the Centre for Public Scrutiny (CfPS) an independent national charity which specialises in governance and public scrutiny alongside the Democratic Society, a small not for profit organisation who specialise in democracy and public participation.
It is important that the CfPS hears from voluntary and community organisations and from residents as part of this work. .
There is also an online residents’ survey To participate, go to http://www.cfps.org.uk/rbkc-residents-survey/
