Heathrow Expansion?

The Department for Transport held a series of public exhibitions on Heathrow Expansion, including exhibitions in Kensington and Fulham
A case has been made by business interests for a third runway at Heathrow, but the Council of the Society resolved to oppose this because its mandate is to protect the quality of life of the people of Chelsea, which would be adversely affected by many more flights over Chelsea, creating more noise and air pollution, and increasing the risk of a catastrophic accident over a very densely populated area.  The Society consulted its members by e-mail on 16th May, and responded accordingly to the government consultation.
