We are obviously concerned by reports in the press that the government is proposing to allow extra storeys to be built on existing houses without planning permission. This would adversely affect the character and beauty of the area, formed over hundreds of years, it should certainly not apply to Conservation Areas. We will be finding out more over the coming days.
