Hugh Krall, an architect and artist, lives near the Thames in Chelsea and has been painting and drawing the river for many years. This exhibition covers the period from 1992 and shows how the riverside area of Chelsea has changed.
After retiring from his career as an architect, Hugh Krall enrolled as a part time student at the Heatherley School of Fine Art in 1992 where he studied various printing techniques, including etching on copper and zinc, also relief printing on wood, lino and medium density fibreboard. The works that are being exhibited show his very diverse range of styles using these different techniques. He is already well known to the Society members for the wonderful greeting cards which are taken of the riverfront. He has also designed exhibition posters for the Society.
The exhibition will be held in The Gallery at 43 Cadogan Gardens, Chelsea, SW3 2TB. Cadogan Gardens is the street next to Peter Jones. Entry to the exhibition is free.
The Gallery will be open from 11am to 7pm.
