We support the use of electric cars in Chelsea.
Electric cars will need public and private charging points for their batteries. With regard to the public charging points, we would hope that their design and signage to be as unobtrusive as possible, and for them to be located in places where the electric cars would cause no obstruction to traffic whilst charging their batteries and would impact as little as possible on normal parking spaces available for other local residents and visitors. We would suggest that vehicles should be allowed to park there only whilst actually charging their batteries.
