The Backstage Tour will include an introduction to the interesting history of this world renowned theatre and will also provide an insight into the redevelopment of the building.
As the Royal Opera House is a fully working theatre, all tours vary according to what is available on the day and may include opportunities to see The Royal Ballet in class, or the magnificent backstage technology in operation, plus a look at the workrooms dealing with current productions. A visit to the auditorium may be possible, depending on rehearsals.
Please Note: The Royal Opera House is a large building with lengthy corridors and many stairs, we would like to warn you there is no seating during a backstage tour. In consideration to the performers and staff, photography is not permitted during your time backstage.
This event is only open to members and their guests, please use the form sent in the recent mailing. As space is limited, tickets will be allocated on a strictly first come basis.
Admission will be by ticket only at a cost of £15.00 per person.
