The Chelsea Society will have a stand at the Open Day from 11am until 5pm
The Friends of Brompton Cemetery’s annual summer Open Day offers a variety of introductory and themed tours, it is the perfect opportunity to see the fascinating collection of monuments and discover tomb stones of interesting historical figures. The day will also include a rare opportunity to visit the cemetery’s catacombs.
There will be many free attractions, with exhibitions in the Chapel and in the extensive grounds, plus a display of birds of prey, children’s activities and stalls from groups including other Friends of London’s Magnificent Seven historic cemeteries.
Refreshments will be available.
Cemetery Tours
Guided tours of the cemetery are at 12.00, 13.00, 14.00, 15.00 and 16.00 each lasting around 75 minutes; suggested donation £6 per tour.
Catacomb Tours
Guided tours of the catacombs are at every half-hour from 11.30 until 16.30, each lasting about 25 minutes; suggested donation £3 per tour.
