60 Sloane Avenue was built by Harrods as their motor car showroom and workshop (at about the same time as the Michelin tyre depot opposite), but was never completed due to the First World War. The glass structure was added much later.
The present owners wish to redevelop the building, and there will be an exhibition at the site on 3rd February from 1600-2000 and 6th February from 1100-1500.
The Society has been asked for its views, and the Chairman of the Planning Committee of the Society will be pleased to receive comments from members before the Society makes a formal submission to RBKC
