Greg Hands MP has arranged a briefing by Heathrow airport on their expansion plans and flight-paths over London on
Thursday 7 February between 18:30-20:00 at All Saints Church Hall, 70a Fulham High Street, Fulham, SW6 3LG.
A case has been made by business interests for a third runway at Heathrow, but the Council of the Chelsea Society decided to oppose this because its mandate is to protect the quality of life of the people of Chelsea, which would be adversely affected by many more flights over Chelsea, creating more noise and air pollution, and increasing the risk of a catastrophic accident over a very densely populated area. The Society consulted its members by e-mail, and responded accordingly to the government consultation.
