The Chelsea Society was represented by its Vice-chairman at the hearing of an appeal to the Secretary of State against an order made by RBKC against the Chelsea Yacht and Boat Company to remove two very large boats. The Society and many others had objected that the boats were incompatible with the established character of Chelsea Reach. The Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State also heard from Mr. Andrew Prynne KC on behalf of the Chelsea Reach Boatowners’ Association, Col. David Waddell on behalf of the Cheyne Walk Trust, and Mr. Richard Jacques on behalf of the Lots Road Neighbourhood Forum.
