India is the cradle of the human race, and Britain has left an indelible imprint on the country.
India has a young population of 1.4 billion with over 100 cities with a million residents or more. It is pluralistic, multi-lingual and diverse. The strategic aim is to be a great power by 2050.
Hugh Thomas will talk to us about India today, and its future relationship with the UK.
Tickets £25 (to include a glass of wine) available from the Box Office of the Cadogan Hall, 3 Sloane Terrace, London, SW1X 9DQ in person, or by phone 0207-730-4500 NB. The meeting is at Chelsea Old Town Hall, not at the Cadogan Hall.
