Volunteering is essential to civic groups like ours.
The Society is a charity and has limited funds to pay for services. So we work closely with our members to create interesting and engaging opportunities for volunteers. It may be you are interested in local history and can help write articles. Perhaps you would be able to help out at one of our events, or at the AGM or the Residents’ Meeting, or join the Planning Committee.
Perhaps you would like to do a little light admin on the campaigns we undertake. Or perhaps you are good at social media and would send out tweets and update our facebook status. Just let us know, and we can find you a variety of fun and stimulating ways to get involved locally and get to know other members (we have more than a thousand!). Maybe you have an idea of your own and just need the right encouragement. If so, Welcome – you sound like our kind of person.
If you’re interested in volunteering please send an email to:

Download the form and complete it to let us know about your interests and how much time you can offer. Then either post it or scan and email it to us. We look forward to hearing from you!
