On 3rd July, exactly 77 years after they died, someone has placed flowers under the memorial in Turks Row to the 74 Americans who were killed there by a flying bomb.
A member of the Society, Frank Busby, says “This brings back memories of my father, also called Frank, he was with the heavy rescue of the ARP and his squad was sent to the scene. It was their dreadful duty to deal with the body parts, and it certainly had a profound effect on him.
