Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea is running a planning consultation for the Chelsea Conservation Area Appraisal, until September 23, 2015; see the update below from the council.
The Council has a statutory duty to preserve and enhance the character and appearance of any designated conservation area. The appraisal, if adopted, will form part of the evidence base that planning officers will use when making decisions on proposed development within the Chelsea Conservation Area.
We have now published, in draft, the Chelsea Conservation Area Appraisal (CAA). This document outlines the historic and architectural significance of the Chelsea Conservation Area and describes its character and appearance. The Council invites comments on the draft document. You can view the document and submit any comments ere (best option); or email planningpolicy@rbkc.gov.uk; or write to Neighbourhoods Team, Planning and Borough Development, RBKC, The Town Hall, Horton Street, London W8 7NX.
