Sir Albert Gray KC, of Catherine Lodge, Trafalgar Square, Chelsea (now Chelsea Square) was the first Chairman of The Chelsea Society from 1st April 1927 until his death on 27th February 1928.
He was a distinguished lawyer and was Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Society for Comparative Legislation & International Law
In 1889 he wrote a paper on the Local Government Act and future reform
