The meeting will cover two topics.

Traffic, Accidents and Net Zero Carbon

Traffic issues and Accidents. In the light of the accident at Battersea Bridge and continuing concerns about pedestrian safety at major junctions and traffic pollution, David Waddell will update members on developments and lead a discussion.

Net Zero Carbon

RBKC is consulting on “Draft Greening Supplementary Planning Document” until 23 February 2021.

The consultation covers:  “The Draft Greening Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) has been written so that new and existing buildings can deliver the best possible standards to reduce harmful carbon emissions. It covers a range of planning policies and guidance to improve energy standards, reduce pollution, promote future clean technologies, minimise flood risk, deliver urban greening and biodiversity net gain.”

Chris Lenon will discuss the concept of net zero carbon as it affects Chelsea and the specific issues in the consultation which affects residents and development.
