Due to the recent flooding John Inglis will be unable to join us this evening – instead David Le Lay, Hon Vice-President, replaces him to discuss his work on the Chelsea section of The Panorama Project.
The Panorama of the Thames Project by John Inglis, Director of the Project, and Jill Sanders, Project Editor
The project is a digital restoration of Samuel Leigh’s amazing 1829 panorama of the Thames from Richmond to Westminster, with history and insights into many of the landmarks that it showed.
Plus a contemporary panorama filmed recently, which will create a record of the Thames as it flows through London that will record it for the future and detail the history of the riverscape.
