14:00 – 17:00 Chelsea Bridge London SW1W 8RH
In partnership with The Royal Photographic Society London Region we are organising a photo-walk along part of the River Thames to give participants the opportunity to shoot a Thames panorama. The shoot is inspired by a forthcoming lecture ‘The Panorama of the Thames Project’. The walk will start at the corner of Chelsea Bridge Road & Chelsea Embankment, and will finish at Chelsea Harbour. The distance is 1.8 miles. If the light is interesting, after the shoot, some members will be shooting the sunset (17:55) and during the blue hour (18:15 to 18:57). The London Region of the Royal Photographic Society is teaming up with The Chelsea Society for a series of initiatives, offering a variety of photographic opportunities against a backdrop of this unique area of London. Chelsea is not only steeped in artistic and literary history, but has its own strong cultural tradition. Over the next year, the two Societies will work together to create a body of work that will be a useful archive resource for the future as well as forming the basis of an exhibition in 2015.
